Raymond J. Bourque
Raymond Joseph Bourque, 79, of Moncton, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the ones he loved, on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 following a brief battle with cancer.
Born September 24, 1929 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Adelard and Suzanne (Landry) Bourque.
He was an electrician prior to his retirement in Montréal. Raymond was also a co-founder and member of the Parkton Golden Age Club where he enjoyed playing cards, darts, and pool with his many friends. He was also with the executive comity of Caisse Populaire N-D-de-Grâce, and very active with other various community organisations through the years.
He was the beloved husband of Edna (née: Bastarache); a loving father to his five children: Normand, Rita (Robert), Lise (James), Raymond (Christiane), Richard (Hélène); grampy to his precious fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Aurele ; three sisters: Laura, Rita, Thérense (Alban)many nieces, and nephews.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Anita (née: Allain); brothers Edgar and Guimon; sisters: Lina, Edmée, and Stella.
Resting at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church (Parkton) on Friday, April 3, 2009 at 11 a.m.
Visiting hours Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Friday, from 10 a.m. until departure (10:45).
