William Charles McGee

Bathurst … William Charles McGee, 68, of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (February 19, 2012), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Allardville, he was the son of the late Ernest and Victorine (Ward) McGee.

He worked in the woods and in mining for most of his life and was a 4th Degree member of the Msgr. Wheton Assembly Knights of Columbus 0615, Bathurst.
He is survived by his companion, Claudette Thériault; one son, Steven (Nancy) of Sudbury, Ont., three daughters, Charlyne McGee Herritt (Perry) of Halifax, N.S., Sandra McGee Doucet (Mario) of Dieppe and Cynthia McGee (Gilles Haché) of Allardville; one brother, Raymond Tremblay of Bathurst; four sisters: Anna Allain of Bathurst, Ella Hachey of Bathurst, Cécile Duguay (Denis) of Allardville, Jacqueline Tremblay of Bathurst; four grandchildren: Mitchell, Matthew, Fanny and Vanessa; several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by a sister, Ruby and a brother, Gordon.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (February 22, 2012) at 11 a.m. from Holy Family Church. Donations in memory of William may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
