Bathurst - Elmer Bryanton, 77, of St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (December 14, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief battle with diabetes. Born in Summerside, PEI, he was the son of the late Frederick Edward and Mildred Beatrice (Carrol) Bryanton. He owned and operated Union Taxi in Bathurst for many years. He is survived by: One daughter: Natacha Bryanton (René Hachey) of Beresford One son: Harry of Montreal, Que. The mother of his children; Irene Chamberlain of Beresford Two brothers: Lloyd and Gary (Joann) both of Bathurst Six sisters: Margaret "Peggy" Bonci of Brantford, CO, USA Shelva Bryanton, Bonnie Bryanton, Betty Peters (Blair), Lois Bryanton and Brenda Bryanton-Micallef (John) all of Bathurst. Several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 2 sisters; Shirley and Mildred. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (December 19, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a favorite charity.
