Rose Doucet Bathurst - On Tuesday November 25, 2008, Rose Doucet passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 90 years old. She raised her family on Lakeside Ave. and lived with her daughter & son-in-law on Stout Court for the past 11 years. Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Rose (Gauthier) Gauthier. She is survived and will greatly be missed by: Her son: John (Patricia) of Poirier Sub-Division Her daughter: Evelyn (Robert Daigle) of Bathurst Daughter-in-law: Julia (late Albany Doucet) of Bathurst She will be missed by her 4 granddaughters; Tanya, Nicole, Marie-Lise, Jennifer and a great-granddaughter; Abeni-Rae all of Bathurst. Three brothers: Clifford (Florida) Gauthier, Alden (late Dorothy) Gauthier both of Bathurst Albany (Simone) Gauthier of Ste Anne's One sister: Edna (Ken) Dickinson of Dartmouth, NS Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Joe, son Albany and brother Gerald. A special thank you to the caregivers at the Bathurst Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit as well as staff of 4th floor east. The body will rest after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Thursday morning (November 27, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edmond Chamberlain officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery next spring. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 an 7 to 9.
