Bathurst - Mrs. Harmony Nicol, 77, of Miramichi Ave, Bathurst passed away on Sunday (April 5, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Evangeline (Hodnett) Rodgers. She was a member of Ladies Auxillary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. She was pre-deceased her husband, John Nicol. She is survived by her spouse, Jacques Brillant. Two sons: John (Christine( of Cheyne, WY, USA Peter (Ann Lavalée) of Ottawa Four daughters: Myra Glendenning (Roy) of Napan, AB Dianne Ridgley (Edward) of Rusagonis, NB Nancy Ducharme (Joe) of Timmons, ON Christine MacPhee (James) of Salmon Beach, NB Six sisters: Hazel Jennings (late Douglas) of Bathurst Helen Lagacé (Théo) of Dalhousie Edith Daley (Baden) of Janeville Henriette Nickel of Abbotsford, BC Mildred Sealy (Harold) of Richmond, BC Evangeline Dupuis of Renfrew, ON 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by an infant son; Dwayn Freeman, a brother; Freeman and a sister; Muriel. The body will rest after 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday (April 9, 2009) at 2 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Eagles officiating. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
