Bathurst - Zilda Bernard, 60, of Victoria Ave., Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Friday (April 24, 2009) at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born in South Tetagouche, she was the daughter of the Leo and Isabelle (Pitre) Bernard. She is survived by her spouse, Lionel Roy. One daughter: Chantal Bernard (Mike Frenette) of Beresford One son: Michel of Bathurst One brother: Ivan of Bathurst Four sisters: Exzilda Sweeney (Les), Eveline Boudreau both of Ontario Stella Esliger (Allen) of Dalhousie Yvonne Pitre (Delphis) of South Tetagouche Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-grand niece; Cloé. She was pre-deceased by brothers; Edmond, Fredy, sisters; Martha, Alice and Roseanna. The body will rest after 2 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (April 28, 2009) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral.
