Bathurst – Raymond Doucet, 87, of Union St. and formerly of College Hill, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (July 15, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Charles and Lorretta (Doucet) Doucet.

He worked self employed contractor for all of his life until his retirement.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Eleanor (O’Brien) Doucet.

He is survived by his wife, Ella (Boucher) (Bernard) Doucet of Bathurst.

Three step-sons, Earl Beperling (Joann) of Bathurst, Jake Bernard (Debbie) of Ottawa and Gary Bernard (Linda) of Gloucester Junction.  Three step-daughters, Marina Cameron of Ripley, ON, Gloria Bonnett (Rick) of 100 Mile House, BC, Joanne Boucher (Edgar) of Gloucester Junction.  Three brothers, Edgar (Dorina), Jerry and Romeo all of Bathurst.  One sister, Theresa O'Donnell of Winnipeg, MBMany step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was pre-deceased by brothers; Ignatius, Alban, and sisters, Lorette LeBlanc and Rita Jennings.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (July 19, 2011) at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Gregory Culligan officiating.  For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
