Eldon “Matches” Thibodeau, 73, of Bathurst, died Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Arthur and Sarah (Hachey) Thibodeau. He is survived by: Three sons: David (Donna) of Halifax, NS Daniel and Donald both of Vancouver, BC One daughter: Denise Duguay (André) of Edmonton, AB Five brothers: Edgar (Joan) of Bellingham, Mass, USA Donald (Carmel), Mississauga, ON Raymond (Elva), Nackawic, NB Gordon and Clifford (Pierrette) both of Bathurst Three sisters: Della Thibodeau of Bathurst Betty Gault of Owen Sound, ON Francine White of Fredericton, NB one granddaughter: Katelyn Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Arthur Jr. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
