Bathurst - Harold Eldon 'Pete' Peterson, 81, of Stout Court, Bathurst, passed away peacefully on Friday (May 5, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Pete was born in Prescott, ON, he was the son of the late W. Richard and Martha Elizabeth (Powell) Peterson. He worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill for 39 years, retiring in 1990 as a Comptroller. Pete will be sadly missed by his wife of over 54 years, Frances 'Fran' (Smith) Peterson. Two daughters: Karen Peterson of Toronto, ON Shelagh Peterson of Moncton, NB One sister: Ruth Larson (Ray) of Fonthill, ON One sister-law: Vivienne Peterson of Prescott, ON One grandchild, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his brother, Arthur. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday afternoon (May 7, 2006) at 3:30 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst, with Rev. Keith Adams officiating. Visiting hours are Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery, Bathurst.
