Bathurst - Gordon Sergeant, husband of the late Evelyn (Becker) Sergeant, of Bathurst, passed away Friday October 3, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age 80.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late William and Rita (Godin) Sergeant.

He is survived by eight children: Wendy Sergeant Godin (Remi) of Robertville, Denise McLellan (Alexander) Chamberlain Settlement, Janet Sergeant (Alan Landry) of Petit-Rocher, Kevin, Ada Sergeant both of Bathurst, Sarah Sergeant (Sheriff Negmeldin) of Gatineau, QC, Duncan of Bathurst and Becky Boyd (Rod) of Cambridge, ON.

Eleven grandchildren: Nesha, Matthew, Bradley, Rebecca, Kesha, Sasha, Jacob, Amelia, Boston, Ruth and Kenai. Two great-grandsons, Tyson and Severin.

Two brothers, John (Cathy) of BC and Dennis Sergeant (Tina) of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Ada Sergeant and Connie Sergeant and one brother, Nelson Sergeant.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
