Bathurst - Gilbert Roy, 80, of Golf St., Bathurst and formerly of Salmon Beach, which occurred Friday (July 28, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Pointe Verte, he was the son of the late Alfred and Lorette (Fournier) Roy. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Florence (Munday) Roy. He is survived by: His wife, Evelyn (Roy) (Chiasson) Roy Five Sons: Clifford Roy (Mimi) of Salmon Arm, BC William Roy (Linda) of Salmon Arm, BC Donald Roy of Victoria, BC. Malcolm Roy (Sheila), Beecherfalls, Vermont, USA Steven Roy (Linda), of Calgary AB Four daughters: Lucy Tetreault (André), Diane Roy, of Sherbrooke, Que. Nancy Theberge (Raymond) of Stanhope, Que. Gloria Roy of Grand Forks, BC One brother: Leo Roy of Montreal, Que. Two sisters: Josephine Roy and Marie Roy (Marcel), both of Montreal, Que. Also survived by the children of his wife: Jocelyn Truchon (Robert) of Charlesbourg, Que. David Chiasson (Armella), Sandra McLaughlin, Maurice Chiasson, Junior Chiasson, Donald Chiasson (Paulette), Michael Chiasson Bernadette Richard (John), Juddeus “Judd” Chiasson (Paula), Claudette Chiasson, Jean-Claude Chiasson, all of Bathurst Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Elhatton Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (August 1, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral. Burial will be in parish cemetery.
