Bathurst - Alban Daley, husband of Viola (McNeill) Daley, of Bathurst, passed away peacefully on July 31 after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 78.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late William and Mary May (Vienneau) Daley.
After working for Bayside Chrysler Dodge for a few years, he then went on to opening and running Al's Appliances on Murray Ave., Bathurst, for 20+ years. He was a character who always had a story to tell and loved reminiscing. He would always do his best to help the less fortunate whenever he could.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind his daughters, Tammy Daley, Billie-Jo (James) Beaton of Bathurst, and Rosanne (Max) Daley of Moncton; as well as eight grandchildren: Amanda, Jared, Tyler, Kelsey, Tanner, Olivia, Mekelo and Keanno. Great grandson Eliot.
Sisters: Shirley Aubé (Bernie), Sharon Doucet (David), Caroline Couture and Connie Daley.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Toby, his granddaughter Angela and his brothers Raymond and Donnie. Special thanks to Dr. Megid and nurses Rhea, and Grace for their loving care. Sharon and David for all their time and compassion throughout this past year.
