With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Francis Lavigne, known to many as Bill, beloved husband to Yvette (Arseneau) Lavigne, father to Marc, and Terry Lynn, father-in-law to Jodie and Todd (passed) and Papa to Taylor (Eric Morrison), Jordan, Billy, and Marty.  

He is predeceased by his parents Hector Lavigne and Eveline (Boudreau) Lavigne, his step father Leo Godin and his son in law Todd Hussey. 

Aside from his immediate family Bill leaves behind to grieve his brothers Frederick (Marjorie) and Paul (Jenny) and his sisters Laurinda Garrett (Mike), Margaret Rose, Linda, and Ethel Dunn(John) as well as many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and friends 

A true jack of all trades, Bill could build or fix just about anything. Whenever someone needed a hand, he was the person they called—and he was always willing to help. He generously gave his time and skills to people throughout the community.  

Bill loved spending time outdoors, especially in the woods. Being out in nature was one of his greatest pleasures. A trip to Newfoundland was on his bucket list, and he was able to fulfill that wish with his very dear friend, Calvin, and his son, Marc. He also loved good food and was always the first one up when it was time to eat. A prankster with a playful spirit, he loved sharing a laugh and keeping those around him on their toes. Above all, Bill loved his family. He was deeply proud of his children, Marc and Terry Lynn, and his grandchildren, Taylor, Jordan, Billy, and Marty, and would do anything for them. His love showed in the things he did, the help he offered, and the way he was always there when they needed him. He was a fighter who met life’s challenges with strength and a positive outlook. His humour, generosity, and upbeat spirit will be remembered by everyone who knew him. Bill will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, family and many cherished friends. In his loving words he would like you all to remember that he will See you in the Woods. 

With respect to his wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A donation to the Heart and Stroke or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
