Robert Edgar, 80, of Carter Court, passed away on Friday (February 9, 2007) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Newcastle on the Thyne, England, he was the son of the late William James and Florence May (Dodds) Edgar. He worked as a Technologist in the Merchant Marines until his retirement. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Emma (Boudreau) Edgar. He is survived by: His companion, Josie Chamberlain Several nieces and nephews, including John Edgar of England Bob will be sadly missed by family and friends. He was pre-deceased by a brother, William James Edgar. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday (February 22, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from Elhatton`s Funeral Home Chapel, St. George St., Bathurst, with Rev. Rodrick Black officiating. Burial will be in the St. Thérèse Cemetery, Robertville, in the spring.
