Ruth Gladys Scott, 84, wife of the late Rupert Scott, of Janeville and formerly of Stonehaven passed away on Friday (June 29, 2007), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in New Bandon, she was the daughter of the late William and Greta (Hodnett) Smith. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rupert, in 1992. She is survived by: Three sons: William (Paulette Bartlette) of Berwick, NS Peter (Nancy Black) of Toronto, ON Barry (Nancy Smith) of Janeville, NB Two daughters: Rachel St. Laurent (John) of Bathurst Sandra Scott of Niger, West Africa Four sisters: Marguerite Morrison of Bathurst Edith Jagoe of Annapolis Royal, NS Molly Burmaster (Alvin) of Saulte Ste Marie, ON Hazel Harvey (Al) Peterborough, ON Two brothers: Walter Smith (Joyce) and Roy Smith (Donna) both of Toronto, ON Maternal aunt; Florence Estabrooks 6 grandchildren; Douglas and Jeffery Scott, Michelle Hay and Jean-Marc St. Laurent, Jessica and Susan Scott 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday, at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday (July 3, 2007) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery, Bathurst. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Gideons, Canadian Bible Society or a charity of the donors choice. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
