Bathurst - Wilfred M. Doucet, 84, of West Dr., Bathurst, died Sunday (July 11, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Mathias and Alice (Doucet) Doucet. He worked as a lumberman and was the founding member of W.M. Doucet & Sons Ltd. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. Besides his wife, the former Loretta Hussey, he is survived by: Three sons: Gary Doucet (Rhoda) of Prince George, BC Neil Doucet (Karen) and Hurley Doucet (Jeannie) both of Bathurst Two daughters: Donna Doucet (James Grant) of Wolfville, NS Colleen Doucet of Charlottetown, PEI One brother: Lionel J. Doucet (Pat) of Bathurst Nine Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (July 14, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
