Bathurst - Mrs. Yvonne Couture, 72,of Beresford and formerly of East Bathurst, died Sunday (August 24, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Lanteigne) St. Pierre. She worked in the kitchen of the Chaleur Regional Hospital until her retirement. She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Alexis Couture. She is survived by her husband, John Desroches. 1 Daughter: Emélia Mazerolle (Robert) of Allardville 1 Son: Denis Couture (Anne-Marie Lanteigne) of Edmonton, AB 2 Sisters: Gemma Krane and Thérèse Levesque (Octave). 3 Grandchildren; Jean-Yves, Mélanie and David. Several nieces and nephews. Yvonne was pre-deceased by 3 brothers; Gilbert, Joseph, Léo, and a sister; Parmella. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (August 26, 2003) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
