Mrs. Margaret Anderson, RN, of St. John St., Bathurst, wife of the late Lawrence Anderson, died Monday (September 15, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in South Nelson, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Flora (Hubbard) Nixon. Mrs. Margaret Anderson was a 1934 graduate of the Dunn Hospital School of Nursing in Bathurst where she pursued her career in nursing until her retirement in 1976. She was also a 60-year member of the Sacred Heart CWL, and served in many offices of the Hospital Auxiliary. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Lawrence 'Larry' Anderson. She is survived by: 1 Daughter: Joyce Anderson of Bathurst 4 Sons: Keith Anderson (Pauline) of Smith Falls, ON Laurie Anderson (Hermance), Robert Anderson (Elva) and Darryl Anderson (Violet) all of Bathurst 3 Sisters: Anna Wood of South Nelson Rita Breau of Fredericton Pat Miller of Toronto, ON 4 Brothers: Robert Nixon and Charles Nixon (Vivian) both of Ottawa, ON George Nixon of London, ON Blair Nixon (Louise) of Middleton, NS 10 Grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Harry, and a sister, Lillian. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday (September 19th, 2003) at 2:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the United Cemetery, St. Anne St., Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
