Bathurst-Sheila Daigle, wife of the late Roger Daigle, passed away peacefully at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes on Wednesday October 12th, 2022 at the age of 81, with family by her side.

Born in Val D’Or, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Cavell and Winifred (Cormier) McParland.

She is survived by her four children: Suzanne (Carl Theriault), Paul (Beth), Richard and Lisa (Clayton Chamberlain) all of Bathurst. Four grandchildren: Shawn, Danielle, Lea and Hannah.

She is also survived by her brother, Brian McParland (Diane) and sisters-in-law: Angie McParland, Marlene McParland, Jeannette Landry and Claudette Imbeault (Leonard).

She was predeceased by her brothers: Keith, Kenneth and Hughie McParland.

Sheila was well known in the community for her many years of service at Sears, the Royal Canadian Legion, the Catholic Women’s League and Holy Family Choir.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Church on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 2 p.m.

The family would like to thank Sheila’s caregivers at the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes. You know who you are. Hugs and kisses from the family.

Donations in memory of Sheila may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, the Kidney Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
