Agathe Friolet, beloved wife of the late Eddie Friolet, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025, at the age of 88, at the Chaleur General Hospital, surrounded by the love and presence of her family.

Born in 1937 to Jérémie Mazerolle and Lidia Power, Agathe was one of five siblings. Though she shared her early years with her brothers and sisters, much of her childhood was spent in boarding schools and living with extended family. These experiences shaped her resilient spirit and introduced her to a wider circle of half-sisters and relatives who enriched her life with love and connection. She was predeceased by her brothers Antoine Mazerolle (Octavie) and Jerry Mazerolle and is survived by her devoted sisters Lucie David (Jeannot, deceased) of Bathurst and Jeannette Mazerolle of Dieppe.

Agathe and Eddie built a life rooted in love, laughter, and family. Together, they raised three children who carry forward their legacy: Suzanne Lennon (Bob) of Bathurst, Jacques Friolet (Liette) of Oromocto and Pierre Friolet (Cindy) of Bathurst.

Her pride and joy extended to her grandchildren: Jonathan Lennon (Melissa), Michelle Lennon LeBlanc (Jason), Jillian Friolet (Tyler) all of Bathurst, Mathieu Friolet and Sébastien Friolet, both of Oromocto.

Agathe was also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Aiden, Jaxson, Alexa, and Reya whose laughter and energy brought her endless delight.

She leaves behind a large extended family of nieces and nephews, each touched by her wit, strength, and unwavering independence. Agathe was known for her sharp mind and spirited remarks—never one to hold back her thoughts, always ready with a comment that made you smile or think twice.

Agathe began her working life in bookkeeping, a role that not only suited her meticulous nature but also set the tone for everything that followed. Her early experience laid the foundation for her lifelong involvement in the family business, where she brought the same precision and care to every task. For Agathe, life itself was a balance sheet—each detail mattered, and everything had to add up. She was known for checking things not just twice, but sometimes three or four times, ensuring that every number, every decision, and every moment was accounted for with unwavering diligence. Her commitment to order and integrity became a quiet legacy, shaping the way she worked and lived.

A woman of remarkable independence, Agathe found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved her daily walks and cherished her time at the family’s cottage in Salmon Beach, where the sea breeze and quiet moments brought her peace.

Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
