It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Clifford Godin of Petit-Rocher, husband of Johanna (Harteveld) Godin, which occurred on Monday, October 28th, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 81 years.

Born in Bathurst, Clifford was the son of the late George and Marie (Legacy) Godin.

Besides his wife Johanna, Clifford is survived by two sons: William (Cheryl) of Edmonton, AB. and Richard (Jocelyn) of Halifax, NS; grandchildren: McKenzie, Kassidy, and Karter all of Edmonton, AB., and Paige of Halifax, NS; siblings: Claudia (Gerald) of La Prairie, QC and William (Judith) of Caraquet, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Serving in the military for 30 years, Clifford started his career in CFB Borden, Ontario where he was able to travel the world serving his country as a member is the Canadian Armed forces, bringing him to Germany where he met his beloved wife, Johanna. After retiring from the Canadian armed forces, Clifford worked for Halifax transit as a bus driver for 12 years before returning to Bathurst to be closer to his family. Clifford was a man of virtue, always willing to lend a helping hand to those he cared about.

As per Clifford’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, a private graveside service will be held at a later date. In Cliffords memory, donations can be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
