Bathurst – It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Bertha Hachey, of Bathurst which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at the age of 92.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Isella (Godin) Imbeault.

She is survived by her sons: Jean-Pierre “Peter” (Debbie) of Salmon Beach and Richard (Michelle) of Nova Scotia. One daughter: Lynn Noel (Dave) of Nigadoo. Six grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Vera.

Her siblings; Lorraine Whalen (Keith), Anne Marie Plourde (Donat), Claudette (Kim) Wynn (late Dave), Albert Imbeault (Carole), Leonard Imbeault (late Claudette), Gerry Imbeault (late Lillian).

Several nieces, nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Lorraine and son-in-law, Ken Arbeau as well as a son, Louis. Three brothers; Sylvio Imbeault, Paul Imbeault and Richard Imbeault. Four sisters; Rita Lavigne, Jeanne Duclos, Evangeline Hachey and Yvonne Arseaneault.

Funeral service for Bertha will be held at Elhatton Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com) on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 2 p.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Residence Vienneau, Southern Comfort as well as the Palliative Care Unit at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
