It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Victorienne Marie “Vickie” Rideout, which occurred at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Saturday May 23, 2026, at the age of 79.

Victorienne was born in Beresford, NB to Dorisse Pitrie and Lawrence Aube. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend whose kindness, strength and love touched everyone who knew here.

She will be remembered for her strong personality an Aube trait! She found joy in her children and grandchildren. She moved to Toronto and married Bernard Rideout, shortly after their marriage they welcomed their daughter Sheila and just 11 months later welcomed their son Steven. After her separation she lived with her daughter and family for many years. Missing her childhood home and upon her retirement she made her way back to Beresford to spend her final years surrounded by the family she loved so much. Her sister Ernestine and her niece Carole held a special place in her heart and took great care of her in her final years.

She is survived by her children Sheila Carvalho and her husband Joe Carvalho, Steven Rideout and his wife Sue Simon, her grandchildren Chelsea and Austin Carvalho, Mitchell, Connor and Luke Rideout. Her brother Albert Aube, her sisters Ernestine, Wilda, Emelda and Jeannice. She was predeceased by Raymond, Alphonse, Rita, Lorraine, Victor, Roland and Nazaire.

A funeral service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the love and memories she gave us. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
