Beresford - It is with heavy hearts that we the family, announce the passing of Marcel Landry, of Beresford, after a long and difficult battle with cancer, which occurred Sunday September 27, 2026, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 66.

Born in Winnipeg, MB, he was the son of the late Clifford and Bertha (Cormier) Landry.

Marcel proudly served nine years in the Canadian Navy and spent much of his working life as a chief engineer at CCNB. He was hardworking, strong, and someone his family knew they could always depend on.

He leaves behind his wife, Huguette (Savoie) Landry; daughters, Stephanie Bennett (Daniel) of Halifax, NS and Casandra Landry of Bathurst; grandchildren, Kaden, Charlotte, Harrison (Jacob & Jaden); and sisters, Diane Landry of Bathurst and Carol Landry of Beresford. 

Besides his parents, Marcel was predeceased by a sister, Linda Landry.

Marcel was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. His family and friends will remember him with love and laughter, and with more good memories than could ever fit into a few words.  

There will be no visitations at the funeral home. A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday October 8, 2026, at 9:30 am from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
