Bathurst - Mrs. Violette Doucet, 74, of Lynch Lane, Bathurst, wife of the late Lawrence Doucet, died Friday (January 16, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Philias and Josephine (Haché) Vienneau. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Lawrence Doucet in 1991. She is survived by: 2 Sons: Francois Doucet (Nancy Roy) and Antoine Doucet (Yolande), both of Beresford 3 Daughters: Thérèse Martell (Harold) and Jacinthe Boudreau (Alyre) both of Bathurst Nathalie Doucet (Gilbert Dru) of Petit-Rocher 1 Adopted daughter: Maria Burris (Ronald) of Eel River Crossing, NB 3 Brothers: René Vienneau (Stella) and Gerald Vienneau (Carmelle), both of Bathurst Warrie Vienneau (Anita) of Petit-Rocher 3 Sisters: Edna Caissie (Herman) and Rosalie Leet (Fred) both of Bathurst Leona Godin (Raoul) of Bangor, Main, USA 10 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a set of infant quadruplets; Francois, Jacinthe, Lucie and Marie, a granddaughter; Angel, and a brother; Oscar. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday afternoon (January 18, 2004) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church (Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire), St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
