Beresford - Mrs. Catherine MacDonald, 91, of Beresford, wife of the late John Angus MacDonald, died Thursday (January 22, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Mabou, NS, she was the only child of the late George and Margaret (Gillis) MacKenzie. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Angus MacDonald, in 1981. She is survived by: 4 Sons; Kenzie MacDonald of Beresford Bernie MacDonald (Debbie)of North Tetagouche, NB Jerome MacDonald (Karen) of Bathurst, NB Rod MacDonald (Marilyn) of Woodstock, NB 6 Grandchildren; Bradley, Todd, Kathryn, Jane, Heather and Amanda. The family will receive friend on Monday at the St. Mary's Church Slumber Room in Mabou, NS. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (January 27, 2004) at 11:00a.m. from the St. Mary's Church, Mabou, NB. Burial will be in the parish cemetery later in the spring. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
