Bathurst - Harold Joseph Ross, 75, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Thursday (April 3, 2008) at his residence after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Barryville, NB, he was the son of the late Hampford and Janie (Brideau) Ross. He was retired from the Canadian Air Force and Brunswick Mining. Besides his wife, Evangeline (Gauthier) Ross, he is survived by: Three sons: Eric Ross (Tess) of Trenton, ON Earl Ross (Mary) of London, ON Norman Ross (Pamela) of Bathurst Mother of his children: Germaine Ross of Bathurst Two step-sons: Ricky and Shawn of Bathurst 2 grandson; Andrew, Dalton, 2 granddaughters; Alicia, Amanda, several nieces and nephews. Three brothers: Howard Ross (Florence) of Bathurst Melvin Ross (Irene) of Barryville, NB Hampford Ross (Pat) of Cambridge, ON One sister: Cecelia Tasker (Gary) of Alberta He was pre-deceased by 2 brothers; Raymond, Lawrence and a sister; Remelda. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday (April 8, 2008) at 2:00 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home with Father Wesley Wade officiating. Burial will be in the Barryville Cemetery later in the spring. Donations in memory of Harold may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
