Pierre O. Chiasson, 45 of Calgary AB, passed away August 23rd, 2008 in the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, NB after a brave battle with cancer. Born in Bathurst, NB he was the son of the late Méderic Chiasson and the late Antoinette Doucet. He is survived by: His sisters; Anne Chiasson of Bathurst, NB Marie Chiasson of Ottawa, Ont. His niece; Chantal Lanteigne, His Nephew; Alain Lanteigne His father’s second wife Marguerite (May) Chiasson and her children, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and his many friends and colleagues in Bathurst and Calgary. We also should not forget his faithful companion Mac, his dog. Pierre was an Electrical Engineer (Electronics) and worked mainly in research and development in Toronto, Vancouver and for the past 10 years in Calgary. The visitation will be at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) , Bathurst, NB. from 2 pm Tuesday (August 26, 2008) until time of funeral. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (August 26, 2008) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, NB. The visiting hours are Monday (August 25, 2008) from 7 to 9 and Tuesday (August 26, 2008) from 2:00 pm until time of funeral. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Pierre, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Palliative Care Unit of Regional Chaleur Hospital of Bathurst or favorite organization.
