Bathurst - Mrs. Helen Carter, 83, wife of the late Gerald Carter, of Janeville and formerly of Union St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (September 6, 2008) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Hurley) Hussey. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women's League. She was pre-deceased by her husband Gerald in 1976. She is survived by: Two daughters: Lou Ellis (Brooks) of Janeville Ann Bain (Ron) of Petawawa, ON One sister: Carmel Furlotte (Walter) of Big River Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son; Shayne, sister; Loretta Doucet, brothers; Cletus and Hurley. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (September 9, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
