Bathurst - Mrs. Evelyn Godin, 91, wife of Alban Godin, of St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Sunday (January 11, 2009) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Philippe and Ida (Vienneau) Doucet. She was a school teacher in the Bathurst area for most of her life and was a member of the Retired School Teachers Association of New Brunswick. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her husband, she is survived by: Two sons: Gerald (Germaine) and Rhéal (Rejeanne) both of Bathurst Three daughters: Angela Léger (Michel) and Adelma Godin (Gilles) both of Bathurst Jeanne Boudreau (Donald) of Balmoral 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday morning (January 14, 2009) at 11:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Wesley Wade officiating. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
