Allardville - Raymond Gionet, 77, of Allardville and formerly of New Market, ON, passed away on Thursday (January 7, 2010) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Caraquet, he was the son of the late Henri and Zonébie (Gionet) Gionet. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Marilyn (Nicol) Gionet. He is survived by: One daughter: Debra Gionet of Scarborough, ON Two sons: David (Michelle) of Keswick, ON Raymond Jr. (Sarah) of New Market, ON Three sisters: Victorine Noël of St. Catherines, ON Jeannine Sodergreen of Aurora, ON Rosalie Guitard of Pointe-Verte, NB His special friend; Mabel Doucet of Saint-Sauver, NB 4 grandchildren; Cody, Travis, Tammy and Rachel. Several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday (January 11, 2010) at 4 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edmond Chamberlain officiating.
