Bathurst - Mrs. Dorothy Mary Berry, 78, wife of Ross Glenn Berry, O'Neil Dr. Bathurst, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday (November 12, 2010, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late James and Beatrice (Pitre) Lavigne.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst, the Holy Family Catholic Women's League, Bathurst.  She enjoyed the company of her line dancing group at the KC Irving Center, her bridge playing companions and her extended family and friends.  Following her retirement from the Royal Bank, her passion was golf.

Besides her loving husband of 56 years, she was a loving mother to:  Paul Berry (Christine Wooley) of Sackville, NB, Wanda Mugridge (Ray) of Sidney, NS, Glenn Berry of Moncton and Donna Thibodeau (Dale) of Bathurst.  7 grandchildren; Robin Mugridge, Amber Mugridge, Kyle Thibodeau, Caitlin Berry, Erin Berry, Ryonn Mugridge, Dylan Wooley-Berry.  Her siblings; Vilma Landry of Fredericton, Marie Guidry (George) of Bathurst, Roger Lavigne (Audrey) of Windsor, NS and formerly of Campbellton.  Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held after 7 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (November 15, 2010) at 2 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave, Bathurst.  Visiting hours are Sunday from 7 to 9 and Monday from noon until time of Funeral.  Donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a favorite charity.
