Bathurst - Mrs. Regina Roy, 91, wife of the late Rudolph Roy, of the Villa Chaleur and formerly of South Bathurst, died Saturday (July 31, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Petit-Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Virginie (Landry) Roy.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Rudolph Roy.
She is survived by:
Five sons:
Almer Roy (Jean),
Perley Roy (Betty) and
Donald Roy, all of Toronto, ON
Norman Roy (Carol) and
Roger Roy (Jeannette) both of Bathurst
Four daughters:
Marjorie Ventura and
Jeannie Cohen (Jerry) both of Toronto, ON
Diane Johnson (John) and
Debbie Chiasson (William) both of Bathurst
Two Brothers:
Gilbert Roy (Devine) of Campbellton
Leonard Roy of Bathurst
21 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by 3 sons, Harvey, Ronnie, Oakley; daughter, Catherine; 4 brothers, John, Hector, Richard, Art; 1 sister, Freda, grandson, Brendan, 1 great-granddaughter, Autumn Grace Regina and 1 great-grandson, Andrew Joseph.
The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (August 3, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben DeJong officiating. Burial will be in the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst.
