Bathurst - Méderic Chiasson, 78, of Vallée Lourdes Dr., Bathurst, died Tuesday (November 9, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Rogersville, he was the son of the late Patrice and Georgina (Doucet) Chiasson. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Antoinette (Doucet) Chiasson in 2000. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (May) Basque Brideau Two daughters: Anne of Bathurst Marie of Ottawa One son: Pierre of Calgary. Two grandchildren, Alain and Chantal. Two sisters: Sr Patricia Chiasson, f.m.a. of Campbellton M.-Antoinette (late Maurice Doucet) of Moncton Three brothers, Placide (Marie-Anne) of Bathurst Gerard (Simonne) and Leonard (Lina) both of Rogersville. His step children, Delphis Brideau (Rachel), Dunlop, Delma Brideau (Gaston) of Halifax, Adelbert Brideau (Delcia), Moncton , Valêre (Marcel) of Bathurst and Betty also of Bathurst and seven step-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two sisters, Sr. Vitaline, Sr. Sophie; two brothers, Camille and Alexandre. The body will rest at Elhatton Funeral Home Bathurst, Thursday afternoon after 2:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Rosary Church (Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire) St. Peter Ave, Bathurst Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
