Bathurst - Simone Forbes, 81, wife of the late Donald Forbes, of Bernon Ave. and formerly of the Villa Chaleur, Bathurst, died Tuesday (November 30, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Margaret (Gaudet) Melanson. She was pre-decease by her husband, Donald, in 1993. She is survived by: One daughter: Pauline Aube (Ross) of Bathurst Two sons: Roland Forbes (Brenda) of Lower Sackville, NS Lawrence Forbes (Sheila) of Moncton Five grandchildren, Sandy & Ryan Aube, Jennipher, Michelle and Peter Forbes. Three brothers: Valmond Melanson (Anita), and Arnaud Melanson (Jeannine) both of Moncton John Melanson (Betty) of North Carolina, USA Sister-in-law: Loraine Melanson of Moncton Sister-in-law: Gloria Dunstan (Leo) of Moncton, NB She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Peter and Virgil 'Fish'; and one sister, Andrea Poirier. The family will receive relatives and friends after 2:00 p.m. Monday (December 6, 2004)at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated later that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Burial will be in the Holy Rosary parish cemetery, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst.
