1939 - 2015

Bathurst - Gerard Hachey, 76, of St. Paul St., Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Edgar and Albina (Cormier) Hachey.

He owned and operated the former Hachey Wheel Alignment in Bathurst.

Besides his wife, Marjorie (Arseneau) Hachey, he is survived by fours sons: Ron (Liette Roy) and Donald (Daniele Cormier) both of Bathurst, Michel (Sophie Boucher) of Robertville and James (Kari Moore) of North Tetagouche.

Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Five sisters: Cécile Whiting (Dave) of North Bay, Ont., Anne Marie Hachey, Agnes Hachey (John), Margaret Lavigne (Roger) and Mary Jane Aubie (Stephen) all of Bathurst; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Raymond.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 16, 2015 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. 

Donations in memory of Gerard may be made to the Diabetes Association or a charity of the donors choice.
