St. Anne, Gloucester Co. - Jean-Guy Morissette, 67, husband of Laury Morissette, of St. Anne, Gloucester Co., died Monday (July 25, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Kirkland Lake, ON, he was the son of the late Salomon and Rose (Rozon) Morissette. Besides his wife, he is survived by: One daughter: Guylaine Morissette of Moncton Four sisters: Irène Morissette (Florient Lalonde) of Cornwall, ON Annette Morissette (Rolly Lapping) of Sudbury, ON Colette Morissette (late Jean-Louis Dallaire) of Val d'Or, QC Claudette Bernard (Raymond) of Pointe Claire, QC Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. He was pre-deceased by a brother, René and a sister-in-law, Gisèle. The will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday afternoon (July 28, 2005) at 4:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church (Eglise Notre Dame du Rosaire), St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
