New Bandon - Byron Wiseman, 73, husband of Fern (Scott) Wiseman, of New Bandon, passed away on Friday (September 9, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in New Bandon, he was the son of the late Arnold and Hazel (Sealy) Wiseman. He worked in dairy farming and also as a stationary engineer and machinist at the former Stone Consolidated Paper Mill. He was a past member of the Northumberland Dairy Co-op Association, member of Central United Church, Clifton and United Church Session and enjoyed working in his shop. Besides his wife, he is survived by: Three sons: David Wiseman (Judy) of Salmon Beach John Wiseman (Joanne) of Springfield Peter Wiseman (Cynthia) of Gander, Nfld. One sisters: Ermina Hodnett (Charles) of Salmon Beach Seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Tommy in 1970 and a sister Myrtle Dempsey. The body will rest after 7 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday (September 12, 2005) from Central United Church, Clifton, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Stonehaven Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday from 7 to 9, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. As a token of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Central United Church or a favorite charity.
