Bathurst - Mrs. Esther Lavigne, 86, wife of the late Percy Lavigne, of Edgewood Dr. Bathurst, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Thursday (October 27, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Petit-Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Léandre and Basilisse (Roy) Doucet. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Percy in 1948. Survived by: Two sons: Roger Lavigne (Susan) of Fredericton Kenneth Lavigne (Joan) Saint John, NB Two daughters-in-law: Rachel Lavigne of Saint John, NB Dorilla Lavigne of Bathurst One half brother: Albany Doucet of Halifax, NS 14 grandchildren, including Eric and Angela, who's care she assumed after the death of their parents, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by three sons, Donald, Vernon 'Turk', Percy, sisters Isabelle White and Flora Haché. The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday (October 29, 2005) at 1:30 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. till time of Funeral.
