It is with great sadness, the family of Wayne Chamberlain, of Rough Waters Drive, announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 75.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Albert and Ada (Chiasson) Chamberlain.

Wayne was retired from SMI and afterwards worked as a school bus driver for 12 years. He truly enjoyed the children on the bus.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eva (MacDonald) Chamberlain.

His children: Jean-Claude (Corrine), Gilles (Annette), Michel (Elizabeth) all of Bathurst and Nicole Henry of Alberta.

His stepchildren: Wendy Kenny (Paul) of Ottawa, Colleen Mallet (Daniel) of Bathurst, Terry Lecouter (Jenny) of Vancouver and Shane Lecouter of Bathurst.

Ten grandchildren: Samantha, Amanda, Tasha, Jonah, Devon, Jessica, Dylan, Ryan, Lauren and Adam. Three great-grandchildren.

Two brothers: Kenneth (Alvina Allain) and Alexandre (Murielle) both of Bathurst.

Two sisters: Sandra Daigle (Cyril) of Baie Sainte-Anne and Donna Lee Bernard (Thomas) of South Tetagouche.

He was predeceased by brother: Réginald “Lulu”, Roger, Lawrence and Eugene, and a sister Yvette Gray.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022 at Elhatton Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com). Donations in memory of Wayne may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
