It is with deep regret, that we, the family of Rita Thériault of Bathurst, and formerly of Paquetville, wish to announce her passing, which occurred on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst at the age of 95.

Born in Paquetville, she was the daughter of the late Prospère F. Thériault and the late Alexina LeFrançois.

Rita leaves to morn, her son, Raymond (Doris) of Quebec, QC; her granddaughters: Isabelle (François) and Nadine (Sylvain); her great grandchildren: Samuel, Benjamin, Audrey and Maude.

She also leaves her sisters: Jacqueline “Jackie” Thériault of Bathurst and Lorraine LeBreton of Caraquet, as well as many nieces and nephews.

She is now resting in peace with many brothers and sisters.

We, the family wish to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Julie LeBouthillier and her colleagues at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, the staff of the Extra Mural and the personnel of the Palliative Care unit for the excellent care given to Rita.

A special thank you to Rita’s caregiver, Barb, for her presence, compassion and care right until the very end.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 15th, at 11 a.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Bathurst.
