Bathurst- Murray Branch, husband of Peggy Branch of Bathurst passed away Monday, December 19th, 2022 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 86.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Beatrice (Black) Branch.

Besides his wife of Bathurst, he is survived by five children: Ross (Kelly) of Osgoode, ON, Phyllis of Grand-Barachois, NB, Dorothy (late Stephen) of Quispamsis, NB, Andy (Trudy) and Steven (Tabatha) both of Moncton.

Ten grandchildren: Evan, Colin, Kaleb, Alex, Sean, Emma, Ashley, Aaron, Sabrina and Abby. Two great-granddaughters: Ruby and Maiya.

Three brothers: Blair (late Linda) Branch, Harper (late Phyllis) Branch and Mirns (Katherine) Branch all of Bathurst.

Two sisters: Muriel (late Al) Gallant and Dawn (Emery) Branch both of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

Murray retired in 1997 from the former Brunswick Mines, where he worked as an electrician. Snowmobiling with his Artic Cat was Murray’s passion. He loved spending time outdoors and at his camp “up river”, always searching for wildlife. Over the years he welcomed many people to his camp, the “Cats lair”.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Carl, a sister, Connie Leslie and three infant siblings.

There will be no visitation or funeral service but house drop-ins are welcome.

Donations in memory of Murray may be made to the Bathurst S.P.C.A.
