  • Yvette Tremblay 1934-2023

  •  Date of Death: February 11, 2023
  •  Location: Bathurst

Yvette (Bélanger) Tremblay, of North Tetagouche, NB, passed away on February 11, 2023 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Yvette was born in 1934 to Charles Émile Bélanger and Marie Blanche Bouchard in Amqui, QC.

In 1955, she met Joseph Leo Tremblay of Bathurst and they wed in 1956, going on to have three children, Louis Tremblay (Marie) Bathurst, Henri Tremblay (Helen) St. John’s, NF and Lise Scott (Herb) of Bathurst.

She is also survived by two sisters: Claudette and Madone and one brother, Claude (Ginette) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Yvette was a passionate homemaker and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found volunteering in her community for many years. She was steadfast and determined to live independently in the family home after the passing of Leo, in 2002. May flights of Angels sing her to her rest and reunite her with the love of her life.

Yvette is predeceased by her parents, two of her sisters: Gisèle and Lucille and two of her brothers: Roger and Yvon.

A gathering and reception with the family, will be held on Monday May 8th, 2023 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Bridge St., Bathurst, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Special thanks to the staff at New Brunswick Extra-Mural, Ambulance New Brunswick and the Chaleur Regional Hospital. Our community is blessed to have compassionate and caring professionals in our times greatest need.

In memory of Yvette, donations can be made to a charity of one's own choice.

Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’ Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
