It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our loving Mother Eugenie “Jenny” Doucet, wife of the late Ignatius “Ike” Doucet, which occurred peacefully at the Foyer Norte Dame-de-Lourdes on Sunday, May 7th, 2023 at the age of 100 years and ten months.

Born in Bathurst, daughter of the late Donat and Hectorine (Legacy) Doucet.

She leaves behind her three children: Vernon (Maureen), Bonnie (late Arden Mallet), and Ralph (Elva) all of Bathurst and one brother, Guy Doucet (Claudette) of Petit Rocher.

Grandchildren: Tanya (Paul) of Dartmouth, Jamie (Kim) of Beamsville, ON, Shelley Ross of New York, Marc Andre (Annie) of Beresford, Valerie (Phil) Sarasfield, ON.

Great-grandchildren: Jaden, Siena, Mataya, Olivier, Noemie, Felix, Damien, and Elias.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two daughters: Diane and Patsy Ann, and one grandson, Sargent Scott Ross.

Mom worked several years at Bathurst Propane and Superior Propane. She was also a member of Holy Family Catholic Women’s League.

We are left with so many beautiful memories of family gatherings and lovely Sunday dinner get-to-togethers filled with laughter and great food.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 2:00pm from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel. (www.elhatton.com)
