It is with heavy hearts that the family announce the death of Ronald Michaud. Ron passed away at his residence peacefully surrounded by his family on August 28th, 2023, at the age of 79. Born in Grand Falls, NB in March of 1944, he was the son of the late Lucie (Poitras) and Onezime Michaud.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Lillian (Murchison) Michaud, his siblings Edwin Michaud, George Michaud and Aline McCluskey.

He is survived by his wonderful children, Peter (Sue) of Hanwell, NB, Wayne (Jackie) of Bathurst, NB and Jay (AJ) of Fredericton NB. His grandchildren, Amanda (Nick), Katie (Chandler), Shane and Olivia.

He is also survived by his brothers: Alfred (late Shirley Donahue) of Montreal, Richard (late Jeanne D’Arc Theriault) of Grand Falls, Guildor of Montreal and Bob (Aurela Gaudet) of Moncton his sisters: Artheline (late Leo Cote) of Moncton, Jeanine (Frank Palazzetti) of New York, Laurie (Roger Cote) of Grand Falls, Huguette (late Herman Levesque) of Edmundston, Marlene (late Iain Dunlop) of Woodstock, Norma (Gaëtan Desjardins) of Drummond, Anne of Hanwell as well as several nieces and nephews.

Ron spent his career with NB Power in Grand Falls and Bathurst retiring in 2005 with over 41 years of service and held numerous positions from plant operations to account manager.

Ron loved spending time with his 4 grandchildren. He and Lillian travelled with them to PEI most summers. During retirement, they travelled on numerous bus tours throughout Canada and the USA with their close friends the Smiths and the Durlings.

Per Ron’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. In his memory, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Lung Association or a favourite charity.
