It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the death of Marguerite Comeau (Theriault) of Bathurst N.B. which occurred September 4th, 2023 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital at the age of 88.

Born in Paquetville N.B., she was the daughter of the late Alphonse (Josephine) Theriault.

Margaret leaves behind her partner James Foster, her daughter Suzie Comeau, grand daughter, whom she cherished, Chantal McLean (Kody Chamberlain), great grand-daughter Wrenley.

One sister, Anne Marie Ramsay (Michael) of Bathurst N.B, brother Donald Theriault of Toronto, ON, nephews: Chad Ramsay (Kaley) of Leduc, Alberta and Claude Theriault (Louise Power) Beresford NB.

Aside from her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband Al Comeau, beloved children Joanne and Gilles, and brother William (Bill) Theriault.

During the best years of her life, you could find her hosting Christmas celebrations for her whole family, sitting outside in nature, and enjoying her Sunday drives. Mom’s passion in life was her family. She was the glue that held our family together. Although she was a very private person, she was a loyal friend and was always the first to reach out and lend a helping hand to anyone. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, kindness and love for her family. Mom was pure love and did so much good in this world. During the last weeks of her life, she was happiest when she was spending time with her great granddaughter.

In Mom’s memory, please do something kind for someone without expecting anything in return, as that is how she lived her life. To the staff of 4 east and Dre. Clarita Pierre Louis. I could not have coped with Mom’s passing if not for the care and comfort provided.

Donations in memory of Mom may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will receive relatives and friends beginning at 1 p.m. at the Elhatton Funeral Chapel (www.elhatton.com) in Bathurst on Thursday, September 14th, from where a farewell celebration will be held at 2 p.m.

Her remains will be placed in the family plot at Notre Dame du Rosaire Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home Bathurst.
