Bathurst- Mrs. Imelda Arseneau, 79, wife of the late Leo Arseneau, of South Bathurst passed away peacefully on February 16, 2006 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Emery and Elizabeth (David) Lavigne. Her husband died in 1984. She had retired from Eddy Home Hardware years before, she was also a member of the Ladies Auxillary Branch #18 Royal Canadian Legion. She is survived by: 1 daughter: Lorraine Aubie of Bathurst 4 sons: Leo Junior of Bathurst Raymond (Elaine) of New Waterford, NS Roger of Bathurst Michael (Joanne) of Robertville 7 grandchildren: Charlene, Rachel both of Bathurst Shawn of Alberta Melissa and Timmy both of Robertville Shannon and Amanda both of New Waterford, NS 5 great-grandchildren: Kelsie, Kyle and Brandon all of Bathurst Thomas and Sarah both of New Waterford, NS 6 sisters: Bernadette (Clarence) Babin of Big River Margrette Chamberlain of Hamilton, ON Claudette (Raymond) Duguay of Bathurst Annette (Lovette) Spindler of Alberta Rena Pitre of Bathurst Sharon (Roger) Garrett of Little River 3 brothers: Donald (Lauza) of Nackwick Doran (Bridgette) of Little River Ronnie (Claudette) of St. Anne She was predeceased by 2 sisters Mary and Isabelle and 3 brothers, Clarence, Bernard and Roger. Visitation will be at the Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), St. George St., Bathurst on Friday, February 17, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral mass will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 18, 2006 at St. Theresa Church. Spring burial will be in the South Bathurst Cemetery.
