Bathurst ? It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the death of our mother, Pauline Sweet, which occurred after a brief illness at the age of 83 on Saturday (February 18, 2006). She passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her children. Born in Bathurst, she was the wife of the late Royce C. “Bud” Sweet and daughter of the late Alphonse and Celina (Melanson) White. Pauline was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Women's League. She is survived by her five adoring children: Bob Sweet (Pat) of Fredericton Charles Sweet (Barb), Marilyn Sweet, and Joan Lavigne (Richard) all of Bathurst Andy Sweet (Patsy) of Kingston, N.S. Loving grandmother to Jon, Adam, Jennifer, Jeff, Kelly, Elizabeth, Eric, Sarah, Cheryl, Kara, TJ and Kevin, Nanny the Great to Julia. Brothers: Doran White (Doreen) of Bathurst Greg White (Gerri) of Vancouver Sister: Joan Urquhart of Lower Sackville, NS Several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by brothers Elmer, Lawrence and Bert, and by sisters Irene Bourque, Rita White and Gertrude Stever. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday afternoon (22 February, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Burial will be at the parish cemetery in the spring. As an expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations in Pauline's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to any charity of the donor's choice. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2:00 pm. until time of Funeral.
