South Tetagouche – Eloi Legacy, of South Tetagouche and formerly of Bathurst, passed away Sunday November 2, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 75.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Émile and Modeste (Couture) Legacy.

Eloi worked as an Electrician until his retirement.

Beside his spouse, Wanita, he is survived by one daughter, Sandra (Fernand) de Dieppe and two sons: Patrick (Jennifer) of Dieppe and René of Ottawa.

Also survived by Wanita’s son, Barry (Marlène) of Bathurst.

Three grandchildren: Mathieu, Nicholas and Jacob.

Two brothers: Claude (Nancy) of Campbellton and Lucien (Sandra) of Bathurst.

Three sisters: Marie (Jim) of Shediac, Nicole Legacy and Fanny Legacy of Moncton.

Several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by three sisters: Noëlla, Yvette, Clara, two brothers: Stéphane and Gilles.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
