It is with great sadness, that we , the family announce the passing of Diane, which occurred on Wednesday, December 17th at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes in Bathurst. Diane was born in Rouyn-Noranda in 1951. A determined and deeply caring woman, she pursued her education with dedication, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and later a Master of Business Administration (MBA), before devoting her career to the field of health care. A nurse at heart, she later became a Certified Health Care Executive. In every role she held, Diane cared for others with compassion, respect, and generosity.
Above all, Diane was a devoted family woman. Her love, gentleness, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen and valued, leaving a lasting imprint on the lives of so many.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband and life partner of 51 years, Glen; her cherished daughters Sara (Richard) and Michelle (Adam); and her precious grandchildren Tomas, Anna, Noa, and Vivienne, who were her greatest pride. She is also survived by her brothers and sister Michel (France), Claude (Jocelyne), Guy (Johanne), and Christine (Denis). She now joins her beloved parents, Gaston and Madeleine.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes for the respectful and compassionate care provided to Diane.
A funeral service will be held at Notre Dame du Rosaire at a date and time to be announced, followed by a celebration of life at a location to be announced.
You can rest now, Mom. You gave so much — you have earned your rest.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
